Under the Oregon Public Records Law, §192.410 et seq., I am requesting an opportunity to inspect or obtain copies of public records that relate to events described by the university as antisemitic that occurred between September through November 2024. Specifically, I am requesting any and all records related to the distribution on campus of a pamphlet entitled “The Olive Tree,” the appearance of swastikas and “Hitler-style mustaches” on campus, the removal of posters relating to Israeli hostages, allegations on the removal of pro-Israel items (such as ribbons and posters) from student rooms, discussions of the aftermath of the Spring encampment protests, and any other documents relating to: UO Palestine Coalition, Students for Justice in Palestine, Jewish Voice for Peace, Ducks 4 Israel, and Hillel.Our request includes but is not limited to any documents related to the development of public statements about these incidents, investigations, disciplinary procedures, and communications with external groups. We believe that these records are likely located in the Office of the Presidency, the Division of Student Life, the Office of the Dean of Students, the Office of University Student Housing, the Office of Civil Rights, Office of Investigations and Civil Rights Compliance, and the UO Police Department.
