Under Oregon public records law, I am requesting...
* Any economic impact report or studies associated with the establishment of the Knight College of Engineering.
* I also request a copy of any formal or informal contract that exists between the Knights and the university regarding the new engineering school. The contract is often referred to as a "gift letter." The university has released such documents in response to previous records requests. (My colleague Matt Kish has also made this request. Please provide this to both of us.)
* Any drafts of those reports or studies.
* Any written or electronic correspondence between the university and the Knight family, Knight Foundation or their representatives between the dates of Jan. 1, 2026 and Sept. 28, 2026. This includes communication from the university or its representatives as well as communication from the Knights or their foundation.
* Any internal studies establishing the case for a college of engineering at the University of Oregon.
* Any plans for the development and buildout of a college of engineering at the university.Please expedite the "gift letter" (contract), economic impact report and internal studies and plans. If it takes longer to provide the communication records I seek, please provide the letter/contract and studies first.
