This request seeks institutional records about UO or Lundquist College practices, approvals, contracts, and guidance concerning use of ChatGPT or similar AI tools for grading, rubric application, feedback generation, or preliminary score generation. It does not request other students' protected education records.
Requested Records
1.    Contracts, purchase orders, invoices, statements of work, data processing agreements, privacy terms, security reviews, risk assessments, procurement records, or approval records for ChatGPT, ChatGPT Team, ChatGPT Business, ChatGPT Enterprise, ChatGPT Edu, OpenAI API, Microsoft Copilot, or other generative AI tools used for teaching, grading, feedback, rubric application, or student work evaluation.
2.    Policies, procedures, training materials, guidance, memoranda, FAQs, or internal communications from January 1 2024 to present concerning faculty use of AI to grade, generate feedback, apply rubrics, detect misconduct, or process student coursework.
3.    Records reflecting whether ChatGPT Team or any OpenAI business workspace has been approved by UO, Lundquist College, Information Services, the Privacy Office, or General Counsel for use with student education records, graded work, or personally identifiable student information.
4.    Communications from January 1 2024 to present between UO officials and Professor Gregory Hennessy or Lundquist College administrators concerning use of ChatGPT or other AI tools in BA 453 or in grading generally, excluding or redacting student education records as required by FERPA.
5.    Records identifying any UO AI governance committee, council, working group, or approval process responsible for reviewing AI use in teaching, grading, student records, or privacy.
