The Associated Students of the University of Oregon (ASUO) are requesting any and all records pertaining to the termination and rehousing of UO Forensics. Specifically, we are requesting to view records from: 1) The Office of the Provost. A search for a new academic home for the Forensics Department was initiated on or after October 22nd, 2025 with a deadline of December 15th. During this window of time, the Office of the Provost met with the UO Foundation to discuss the limitations of endowment funds. Various deans have also been involved in these discussions, of which we know of at least two, the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences and the Interim Dean of the School of Journalism and Communication. ?2) The Clark Honors College. Financial support for the UO Forensics Department was terminated on September 3rd, 2025. The College also terminated Department Director on an unknown date. Finally, the Clark Honors College terminated a Forensics Operations Fund (Z4FOPX) on an unknown date in 2024. 3) The Office of VPSL worked with that of the Provosts’ in discussions over the endowment funds available to the Forensics Department.?
