Pursuant to Oregon's Public Records Act / Freedom of Information Act, I kindly request copies of basketball guarantee game contracts held by the University of Oregon and/or its Athletic Department.
REQUESTED RECORDS
Executed basketball guarantee game contracts (and any amendments or addenda) between the 2000 and 2025 seasons. Guarantee games (also called "buy games" or "money games") are regular-season, non-conference games in which the University of Oregon paid a guarantee or appearance fee to a visiting opponent to play a single game at the University of Oregon's home court (usually early in the season).
This request EXCLUDES:
• Conference games;
• National Invitation Tournament (NIT) and NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament (March Madness) games;
• Home-and-home series contracts.
TIME PERIOD
Basketball seasons 2015 through 2025. If records are not retained for the full period, please provide responsive records from the earliest available year forward and indicate the applicable retention period.
