Judicial Watch, Inc. (“Judicial Watch”) hereby requests that the Oregon University produce records related to the use of the University of Oregon “UO Alert” system for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) presence notifications, pursuant to the the Oregon Public Records Law (ORS 192):Specifically, I request the following records:
1.    Any final policy, protocol, directive, or guidance document governing when an ICE-related UO Alert will be issued.
2.    Any written criteria or checklist used to “confirm” ICE presence prior to issuing an alert.
3.    Any emails or memoranda (internal only) containing the exact phrases:
•    “ICE alert” AND “UO Alert”
•    “Safeguarding Students and Families Act” AND “alert”
4.    Any legal guidance or opinion from the Office of the General Counsel interpreting compliance obligations under Oregon’s Safeguarding Students and Families Act as it relates to UO Alert usage.
5.    Any final decision memorandum or summary explaining the rationale for including or excluding ICE presence from the UO Alert system.
6.    Any communications (emails or formal correspondence) between the listed custodians and student organizationsthat specifically reference:
•    “ICE alert” OR “UO Alert” AND ICE
•    The “Anti-ICE Coalition” (or similarly named coalition)
