RECORDS REQUESTED
All contracts, agreements, and related documents for non-conference guarantee football games from January 1, 2000, to December 31, 2024, where University of Oregon paid a financial guarantee to the visiting opponent. According to my preliminary research, University of Oregon had around 47 guarantee games during 2000-2024, including canceled games during the pandemic in 2020.
Definition of "Guarantee Games"
To help clarify this request, guarantee games (also called "pay games" or "buy games") are single-game, non-conference matchups where your university paid the visiting team to play at your home stadium with no return game scheduled. These typically involve:
•    FCS opponents
•    Group of 5 conference opponents
•    FBS independents receiving guarantee payments
•    Non-conference Power 5 opponents with guaranteed payments
What This Request Excludes
To narrow the scope and assist with your search, this request specifically excludes:
•    Home-and-home series (reciprocal games where each team hosts one game)
•    Conference games
•    Neutral-site games paid by third parties
Documents Requested
For each qualifying game, I would appreciate receiving the following:
•    Game contracts and agreements with payment amount
•    Amendments and modifications
•    Cancellation notices (if applicable)
