I am a recent graduate of UO working on a project that measures the effects of professor tenure on student outcomes. The project will estimate the extent to which achieving tenure results in systematic changes in student evaluations. The preliminary hypothesis is that tenured professors may have more favorable evaluations as new incentives may lead to more teaching preparation time and effort. To accomplish this, I am requesting information on when individuals were tenured at UO. The specific data I’m looking for include faculty name, department, and tenure date from 1996-2009 for all tenure track faculty. I am also requesting the historical course offering information that includes faculty name and courses taught by year and quarter for the same time period.
