Hi, I’d like to mirror two recent public records requests. 2018-PRR-222, “Complaint-related settlements 2007-Present,” and 2018-PRR-225, “Title IX settlements 2016-17, mirror 2018-PRR-225.” Please include me on the distribution of those records.

Under the Oregon Public Records Law, §192.410 et seq., I am requesting an opportunity to inspect or obtain copies of public records that detail financial settlements related to sexual harassment and/or sexual assault allegations by or against students, faculty and staff at University of Oregon. I am looking specifically for settlements made in calendar 2016 and 2017 related to sexual misconduct. As the money would have come from a public university, I believe the details of such settlements -- including, but not limited to, the dollar amount, other settlement terms and parties involved -- would be in the public interest. If the names of parties are not considered part of the public record, then I would ask that the university division or department be disclosed. I am a member of the media and my request is related to news gathering purposes. I would request a prompt response to this request. If you expect a significant delay in responding or fulfilling the request, please contact me with information about when I might expect copies or the ability to inspect the requested records. If you deny any or all of this request, please cite each specific exemption you feel justifies the refusal to release the information and notify me of the appeal procedures available to me under the law.
