I would like to request electronic copies of data or documents specifying which members of the University of Oregon athletic department were allotted Nike Elite allowance funds from the athletic department for either academic year 2017-18 or calendar year 2017 (whichever award system is used). As part of this request, I would like each individual’s name, his/her position, his/her program/team, and the amount of the Nike Elite allowance awarded to him/her by the athletic department. In addition, I would like to request documentation of the annual allotment value, either by academic year 2017-18 or calendar year 2017 (whichever is used) reporting how much Nike awards the athletic department in Nike Elite allowance. Finally, I would like to request any polices that exist by the university or the athletic department or other relevant policies providing guidance/restrictions on how such fringe benefits, such as the Nike Elite allowance, are to be spent by athletic department staff members, allocated by athletic department officials to staff members, and tracked by the university/athletic department. I would also like any documentation explaining how such fringe benefits, such as the Nike Elite allowance, are to be reported/accounted for in tax documents provided by the university/athletic department to individual staff members. I believe these records are subject to disclosure under the state’s broad public records law. If your organization believes the records are exempt, please cite the specific exemption, by ORS, limiting disclosure.
