 Under the Oregon Public Records Law, §192.410 et seq., I am requesting an opportunity to inspect or obtain copies of public records that detail financial settlements related to sexual harassment and/or sexual assault allegations by or against students, faculty and staff at University of Oregon. I am looking specifically for settlements made in calendar 2016 and 2017 related to sexual misconduct.As the money would have come from a public university, I believe the details of such settlements -- including, but not limited to, the dollar amount, other settlement terms and parties involved -- would be in the public interest. If the names of parties are not considered part of the public record, then I would ask that the university division or department be disclosed. I am a member of the media and my request is related to news gathering purposes.
