Under the Oregon Public Records Law, §192.410 et seq., I am requesting an opportunity to inspect or obtain copies of public records that relate to correspondence between representatives of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (“FBI”) and academic officials at the University of Oregon regarding concerns of intellectual property theft and economic espionage within various fields of science at the institution. In particular, I seek access to electronic records of any and all email correspondence between January 1, 2016 and July 29, 2019 between representatives of the FBI and the University of Oregon’s Office of the Vice President for Research and Innovation, including but not limited to the email accounts associated with [VPRI staff].
