I am assisting Professors James Finkelstein and Judith Wilde of the Schar School of Policy and Government at George Mason University. They are conducting academic research studies in partnership with the news organization Inside Higher Ed. These studies focus on:

• employment agreements of presidents of four-year public colleges and universities;
• compensation (including but not limited to salary and benefits) paid to former presidents of four-year public colleges and universities after they left their positions as president; and
• any conflict-of-interest forms executed by presidents, governing board members or search committee members who had input into the selection or compensation of any president of any four-year public college or university.

For the conflict of interest disclosure study, we request:

1. All conflict of interest and/or financial disclosure forms or other disclosure forms made by any president, chancellor, or board member identifying service on non-university boards, work for external companies, government roles or other organizational affiliations during the time period for the past three filing years whether fiscal, calendar or academic.
