Office of Public Records

Welcome to the Office of Public Records website.

The University of Oregon’s Office of Public Records, which was established in July 2010, responds to requests from members of the public for university records.

This site includes information about how to make a public records request, related fees, options for reviewing and receiving public records, and links to other resources, as well as information for university employees who may receive public records requests.

The Office of Public Records has also developed a Public Records Request Log in order to provide more information about public records requests received by the university. The log lists all public records requests received by the office (except those that are exempt from disclosure under Oregon Revised Statutes 192.311 to 192.478) with dates and basic information about those requests.

The Quick Links on the home page contain documents that might be of interest to some members of the public.  These can be accessed through the Quick Links to the left.

We extend thanks to the University of Iowa, the University of Illinois, and Iowa State University for their inspiration and ideas on how to better meet our common goal of increased transparency.
