I am a certified art appraiser in Portland, OR.  As an appraiser, I am required to have comparable values of past purchases to support current values for similar artwork, archives and collectibles.  My understanding is that the annual budget and expenditures for the university's library and special collections are part of public record.  I would like to request those budget and expenditure records for the Knight Library Special Collections, going back 5 years, depending on what is available.  

I am specifically interested in the expenditures for:

1. Photographs (individual prints, portfolios and collections of photographs) and photographic archives (i.e., an archive of an individual or studio that may include:  photographic prints, negatives, digital files, papers, correspondence, copyright, and any additional materials that relate to their professional &/or creative output as a photographer.)

2. Films (nitrate, celluloid &/or digital capture) and film archives (e.g., a Director’s archive, or a collector who focussed their collection on a specific era, genre or director).

3. Artist archives (i.e., an archive of an individual or studio that may include:  artwork, sketches, models, digital files, papers, correspondence, copyright, and any additional materials that relate to their professional &/or creative output.)

The above items are listed in priority.  As I do not know the cost of service for collecting the expenditure information, I would like to first request the details of purchases of Photographs and Photographic Archives by the Ransom Center between fiscal years 2011- 2015.  If an estimate can be provided in advance, it would be much appreciated.
